Think of this as a Journal of the Thrills. ![]() And now, after decades of threats from well-meaning folks, threats like "if you don't hurry up and play a proper X-Wing campaign, you're going to be an old sad man who reflects bitterly on his ill-spent youth", the one and only JeffZero is ready to begin his journey. There was Balance of Power, though, and Balance of Power was fun as hell. JeffZero had played the heck out of X-Wing versus TIE Fighter as a kid, you see, except he didn't have internet so it was always against bots. It was more than capable of running this game which had eluded the space-loving Irishman for so long. The 2009 laptop he'd recently been gifted by a friend was the kind of upgrade poor JeffZero treated as some on GAF might regard a new $3000 PC. "The time is now." X-Wing Alliance stood downloaded in his Steam library. ![]() JeffZero was never very good at complex concepts like names and words. The first joystick he'd owned since he was 11 years old sat beside him, freshly purchased. The room around him smelled of cat and candle. "One of these days, JeffZero is going to do a LTTP topic," JeffZero mused as he took another hit from his trusty glass of ice water. ![]()
